KAIROS

Led by Teledyne UK Ltd., this Innovate UK funded project developed a pre-production prototype of a miniature atomic clock for providing precise timing to a variety of critical infrastructure services, such as reliable energy supply, safe transport links, mobile communications, data networks and electronic financial transactions. 

It was a successful project both technically and in its engagement with markets and prospective users. More than ten pre-production prototypes were built and sent for trials in a number of environments, including the Royal Navy. The consortium demonstrated a high level of competence in this area.
